Month of October 2011

It's high season for the Patchogue Arts Council with our Walking Arts Tour, Autumn Arts Festival, and Biennial all coming up in the next month. As an organization that is 100% volunteer driven, the only way these events can happen is with your help. We hope we can count on you this year to sign up for one or more of the following volunteer opportunities.

The Patchogue Arts Council is currently presenting the

Fourth Walking Arts Tour

(September 24 - November 6). This juried exhibition is featured in the windows and storefronts of Patchogue. We are honored to have Photographer and Educator JoAnne Dumas serve as juror. Maps as well as more information is available by visiting here.

2011 Patchogue Arts Biennial

The 2011 Biennial Committee is elated to be returning the event to its pilot location at Briarcliffe College.

This year's event will take place from October 22 - November 13. The gallery is open each week on Tuesday through Friday from 12-8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12-5pm. An artist's reception will be held on October 29 from 2-5pm.

The Patchogue Arts Biennial is the largest contemporary art exhibit on Long Island. The exhibit is an invitational exhibit exposing the public to a variety of contemporary art forms, many of which are not usually seen in traditional venues. The artists of diverse backgrounds are drawn from all of Long Island; Brooklyn to the East End.
